About Lorraine

Three years into the “Women’s Ways” training one cannot help but wonder: How can a woman, who exudes only gentleness and compassion, be such a powerful teacher who leads with passion and enthusiasm and delivers even the most difficult truth with heart-felt empathy? Maybe because Lorraine Simone has mastered her unique and very own style of “Women´s Ways” herself.

Lorraine Simone grew up in Brooklyn, New York, as the oldest of three girls in a Catholic, Italian-American family that always opened their door and offered their dinner table to family and friends. These family dynamics, as well as her inter-faith marriage, her experience as a NYC school teacher, and her life as a successful business woman opened her mind at an early age to community, cultural diversity and the personal challenges human beings encounter every day.

Through a very instinctive and natural unfolding, Lorraine, who holds a Masters of Science in Education, specializing in Environmental Science, was drawn to personal growth and planetary balance. Lorraine studied with teachers from around the world who stressed the importance to live in balance with the Earth and embrace the ways of the sacred feminine, the divine life force within every woman and man, to create, to nourish, to intuit, to be receptive and live in cooperative relationship to others.

The wisdom she has gathered has all coalesced into what Lorraine considers the most important focus of our time: to change the world by empowering women and girls. Today she is a well known speaker, inspired visionary and teacher who effectively bridges the gap between the mystery of living a spiritual life and the nitty-gritty grind of modern Western life.

In 1990 Lorraine founded Moonfire Meeting House on Eastern Long Island followed by the Women's Ways Mystery Schoolfive years later. Lorraine has been featured on numerous TV and radio shows, and in magazines and newspapers, including Newsweek, New York Magazine, and The New York Times.
